LUCKY EXPRESS and CHAMPION’S WAY began only fairly. MASTER MONTARO travelled keenly in the early stages and passing the 1000 Metres was awkwardly placed behind BUDDIES. After the race, J Moreira reported that when the tempo of the race increased after the 600 Metres, EXCELLENT PROPOSAL was left flat-footed. He said EXCELLENT PROPOSAL took some time to gather momentum but finished off the race satisfactorily. He said the manner in which EXCELLENT PROPOSAL raced today indicated that the horse would be better suited with a step-up in distance in its future races. EXCELLENT PROPOSAL, HEALTHY HAPPY and LUCKY EXPRESS were sent for sampling.
