LITTLE BIRD shifted out at the start and bumped DRAGON BABY which was crowded for room inside AMIGOS GIGGLE. GENERAL WINNER shifted in at the start and bumped VUKAN, resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. After this, GENERAL WINNER was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover. After being bumped by GENERAL WINNER, VUKAN failed to muster speed despite being vigorously ridden along. PLIKCLONE got its head up on jumping when being steadied to obtain cover from a wide barrier. From the outside barrier, CELESTIAL WARRIOR was steadied in the early stages to obtain a position closer to the rail. Near the 1250 Metres, GENERAL WINNER was bumped by STAR CONTACT (M Chadwick) which shifted in when being ridden along. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances. AMIGOS GIGGLE travelled keenly after the 1200 Metres when being steadied in an attempt to obtain cover. Then after the 900 Metres, AMIGOS GIGGLE was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 900 Metres, AMIGOS GIGGLE lay in towards the heels of PLEASANT ENDEAVOR, resulting in EN POINTE being inconvenienced. DRAGON BABY, which was following EN POINTE, commenced to travel keenly and when being checked away from the heels of that horse shifted in, resulting in STAR CONTACT becoming unbalanced when crowded for room. In the early part of the Straight, AMIGOS GIGGLE lay in and was awkwardly placed behind PLEASANT ENDEAVOR. In the Straight, CELESTIAL WARRIOR lay in under pressure and near the 100 Metres was awkwardly placed inside the heels of PLEASANT ENDEAVOR which shifted in. Then over the concluding stages, CELESTIAL WARRIOR continued to lay in and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of STAR CONTACT. Because of this, CELESTIAL WARRIOR was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race. Near the 50 Metres, GENERAL WINNER and PLIKCLONE bumped. After the 50 Metres, SUPER HORNET was directed to the outside of G ONE EXCELLENT after being disappointed for running inside that horse. A veterinary inspection of VUKAN immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. A veterinary inspection of LITTLE BIRD immediately following the race found that horse to be lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, LITTLE BIRD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EN POINTE and PLIKCLONE were sent for sampling.
