SILVER FIG began awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. CZARSON began awkwardly and then shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of CALIFORNIA RAD. KA YING MASTER shifted in at the start and bumped STOLTZ. BAND OF BROTHERS shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced CLASSIC UNICORN. BAND OF BROTHERS was then steadied to obtain cover. From wide barriers, WIND N GRASS and BLAZE WARRIOR were shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 900 Metres, WINNING DREAMER was left racing wide and without cover. Passing the 1000 Metres, FANTASTIC WAY, which was travelling keenly, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of KA YING MASTER. FANTASTIC WAY continued to race close to the heels of that horse and after the 700 Metres was shifted out to avoid the heels of KA YING MASTER. When FANTASTIC WAY was shifted out, WINNING DREAMER was taken wider again. Approaching the 600 Metres, CZARSON was awkwardly placed behind CALIFORNIA RAD. STOLTZ was held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 200 Metres. CALIFORNIA RAD was unable to obtain clear running from on straightening until near the 150 Metres. WIND N GRASS was held up for clear running until after the 300 Metres. Approaching the 200 Metres, SILVER FIG and CZARSON raced tight. CZARSON then shifted out and bumped SILVER FIG passing the 100 Metres. Close to the finishing line, WINNING METHOD raced in restricted room inside BLAZE WARRIOR which shifted in under pressure. Because of this, WINNING METHOD was not able to be properly tested all the way to the end of the race. A veterinary inspection of CLASSIC UNICORN and CZARSON immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. FANTASTIC WAY, CORDYCEPS SIX and BLAZE WARRIOR were sent for sampling.
