AUGUST MOON was withdrawn on 4.6.22 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (fever). Before being allowed to race again, AUGUST MOON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
COLONEL shifted in at the start and inconvenienced KARUIZAWA.
PEAK TO PEAK shifted out abruptly on jumping, resulting in TSUEN WAN GLORY being hampered and SUPERB DADDY, which began awkwardly, being inconvenienced and losing ground. After this, SUPERB DADDY was shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.
HAPPY MATADOR, which from the outside barrier was being steadied, was bumped on jumping by TUCHEL which shifted out. After this, HAPPY MATADOR was shifted across behind runners.
PLIKCLONE began only fairly.
Passing the 1300 Metres, TSUEN WAN GLORY travelled keenly when being steadied to obtain cover and after the 850 Metres was left racing wide and without cover.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on COOLCELEB at the request of Trainer T P Yung. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea and found the horse to be a "roarer” which had previously been reported.
A veterinary inspection of COLONEL and PEAK TO PEAK immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TUCHEL and RAINBOW LIGHT were sent for sampling.
