ALL BEAUTY was crowded for room on jumping between WINNING ICEY which was taken out by STREET SCREAM and COBHFIELD which got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. In the early stages, POWER KOEPP was steadied to obtain cover. After travelling a short distance, MR MAJESTIC shifted in and bumped FLYING BONUS. Also after travelling a short distance, STRADALE, which was being ridden along, raced tight between SOLID IMPACT which shifted out away from MR MAJESTIC and MAGIC PHOENIX which shifted in. MR MAJESTIC and SOLID IMPACT raced tight passing the 1100 Metres. Approaching the 800 Metres, COMPASSION SPIRIT was bumped by STRADALE which shifted in. Passing the 800 Metres, MR MAJESTIC race tight inside SOLID IMPACT which shifted in. After the 500 Metres, STRADALE and MR MAJESTIC raced tight as MR MAJESTIC shifted out to follow SOLID IMPACT. STRADALE and MR MAJESTIC then bumped near the 400 Metres. After the 300 Metres, COMPASSION SPIRIT and STRADALE bumped. Then after the 250 Metres, STRADALE was momentarily steadied away from the heels of MR MAJESTIC which shifted out. Passing the 200 Metres, LUCKY GOLD was awkwardly placed behind FLYING BONUS when held up for clear running behind that horse and after the 200 Metres was shifted to the inside of FLYING BONUS to continue improving. At the 150 Metres, MR MAJESTIC shifted in and bumped COMPASSION SPIRIT. POWER KOEPP was unable to obtain clear running over about the final 100 Metres and because of this was not able to be properly tested. After the race, K C Leung reported that after being ridden positively in the early stages from the outside barrier, MAGIC PHOENIX would not relax in the middle stages. A veterinary inspection of MR MAJESTIC and STRADALE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. WINNING ICEY, STREET SCREAM and COBHFIELD were sent for sampling.
