DURHAM STAR, which brushed a rail on entering the track, was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
On arrival at the Start, it was noted that VANTASTIC CHOICE had blood in its mouth. VANTASTIC CHOICE was examined by the Veterinary Officer and found to be suitable to race.
RATTAN KINGDOM stumbled at the start, shifted in and bumped HARMONY N HOME.
OVERSUBSCRIBED shifted out on jumping and hampered FAITHFUL CHAMPION. After this, from wide barriers, OVERSUBSCRIBED and FAITHFUL CHAMPION were shifted across behind runners.
Also from the outside barrier, SUPER MAGIC was steadied in the early stages to obtain cover.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, RATTAN KINGDOM was awkwardly placed outside the heels of HAPPY GATHERING.
After the 1000 Metres, VANTASTIC CHOICE was steadied away from the heels of HAPPY GATHERING.
Near the 900 Metres, FAITHFUL CHAMPION, which was having its first race start tonight, shifted in towards the rail when being ridden along and became unbalanced of its own accord.
Near the 650 Metres, DURHAM STAR was momentarily awkwardly placed behind TURBO POWER which shifted in.
Near the 450 Metres, HARMONY N HOME became unbalanced when bumped by HAPPY GATHERING which got its head on the side and lay in away from CHARMING STEED. Then at the entrance to the Straight, HAPPY GATHERING and CHARMING STEED raced tight as HAPPY GATHERING shifted out to obtain clear running.
Throughout the race, CHARMING STEED travelled wide and without cover.
RATTAN KINGDOM and HARMONY N HOME were sent for sampling.
