ROCKET WIN was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (right fore knee injury). Before being allowed to race again, ROCKET WIN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DR WELL bounded in the air at the start and then throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. DISGUISE, DORDENMA and TOM'S SIX were slow to begin. On straightening, LUCKYME got its head on the side, hung in and was steadied away from the heels of HIGH INTELLIGENT. At the 250 Metres, HIGH INTELLIGENT, which commenced to give ground, was checked when crowded for room inside LUCKYME (Y T Cheng) which at this time got its head on the side and shifted ground when hanging in away from PACKING WINNER which was also shifting ground. In the circumstances, Y T Cheng was told to make a greater effort to prevent his mount shifting ground in similar circumstances. TOP HONOR was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, TOP HONOR was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. PACKING WINNER and LOTZATOW were sent for sampling.
