Steward Report Predict Pace Map
PRIME DELIGHT was withdrawn on 21.9.07 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame right fore). Before being allowed to race again, PRIME DELIGHT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DAO DAO was slow to begin. SEASONS KNACK began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of DIAMOND ERA. Shortly after the start, CHATER SILK was steadied when crowded for room between DIAMOND ERA and BULLISH WIN, both of which shifted ground. In the early stages, OPERATION SECRET proved difficult to settle when racing without cover and on a number of occasions got its head up. For a short distance after the 400 Metres, SEASONS KNACK had difficulty obtaining clear running. At the 200 Metres, EQUATOR KID was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of OPERATION SECRET to continue going forward. S K Sit (BULLISH WIN) explained he rode his mount forward in the early stages, however, CLASSIC REUNION maintained its position inside his hindquarters which obliged him to race in a three wide position throughout. He said after the 1200 Metres he endeavoured to edge forward to clear CLASSIC REUNION and cross to race outside the lead, however, when he did this, CLASSIC REUNION maintained its position on his inside. He said as a consequence of this BULLISH WIN travelled in a three wide position. DIAMOND ERA and CLASSIC REUNION were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of DIAMOND ERA after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, CLASSIC REUNION was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucopus in the horse's trachea. DO DAO and FLYING BISHOP were sent for sampling.
