Whilst parading prior to the race, CRUSH ON YOU shifted its right front plate. This plate was reset. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. CRUSH ON YOU was slow to begin. SPINMASTER and AMAZING CHOISIR began awkwardly. KEEP SMILING was slow into stride. In the early stages, THAT’S IT proved difficult to settle. Near the 800 Metres, CHINSOLA was left racing wide and without cover. In the early part of the Straight, MASCOT FORTUNE was held up and unable to obtain clear running between A MIRROR and OPERA MAGIC. From shortly after straightening until after the 200 Metres, AMAZING FORTUNE had difficulty obtaining clear running inside SPEEDY. Approaching the 200 Metres, KENOBE, which was commencing to close the race off, was steadied and shifted in away from the heels of THAT’S IT which was giving ground. Throughout the race, OPERA MAGIC travelled wide and without cover. CRUSH ON YOU and AMAZING CHOISIR were sent for sampling.
