Steward Report Predict Pace Map
WIN PRACTITIONER was slow to begin. On jumping, JOY AND FUN and DASH AHEAD were checked when crowded for room between FLYING TAMARI and SINGING DINERS, both of which shifted ground. CRUSADER OF GOLD was taken across behind runners from a wide barrier. UPSIDE OF ANGER, which had been taken back from the outside barrier, proved very difficult to settle and pulled its way forward along the Back Straight. Approaching the 1600 Metres, MEDICO when being steadied got its head up. At the 700 Metres, WIN PRACTITIONER was steadied away from the heels of SINGING DINERS. After the 400 Metres, when giving ground, UPSIDE OF ANGER shifted in and was steadied away from the heels of FASHFIELD. Near the 300 Metres, JOY AND FUN was shifted towards the outside of SINGING DINERS. At the 250 Metres, CRUSADER OF GOLD shifted to the outside of SAFETY FIRST to continue going forward. G Mossé (FLYING TAMARI) explained after straightening he placed his mount under pressure, however, it did not quicken, became unbalanced in its action and changed legs. He said the manner in which FLYING TAMARI was racing was of concern to him as he felt something was amiss with the horse, he therefore over the final 200 Metres eased his mount down. He said on pulling up FLYING TAMARI was sore in its right front leg. FLYING TAMARI was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of FLYING TAMARI after the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of FLYING TAMARI was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FLYING TAMARI will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. MEDICO was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of MEDICO after the race did not show any significant findings. JOY AND FUN, LU YUE and WIN PRACTITIONER were sent for sampling. After the race, it was reported MAN IN THE MIRROR had sustained a cut to its right hind pastern.
