From a wide barrier, GENERAL SPEEDEE was taken across behind runners in the early stages. In the early and middle stages, MILLION CHASE proved difficult to settle and raced without cover, then in the Straight gave ground. At the 400 Metres, GENERAL SPEEDEE was steadied away from the heels of DASHING WINNER. On straightening, DASHING WINNER was steadied when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MILLION CHASE. At the 150 Metres, NOBLE ZOOM was shifted out away from the heels of BUDDIES SPIRIT which was giving ground. Throughout the race, ZERO GRAVITY travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground and finished tailed out. The performance of ZERO GRAVITY was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, ZERO GRAVITY will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ZERO GRAVITY and MILLION CHASE were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of ZERO GRAVITY and MILLION CHASE after the race did not show any significant findings. VALUE CHOICE and SUPER SPECIAL were sent for sampling.
