MAJESTIC HEART began awkwardly and was then bumped by KINGSTON TEMPLE which shifted in after being bumped by SHATIN WIN WIN which began awkwardly. PERFECT MATCH was slow to begin, then lost further ground when being steadied away from the heels of CITY SURFER which began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly. Shortly after the start, LOHAN was steadied after bumping the hindquarters of TYCOON TAYLOR which as a result became unbalanced. Near the 1000 Metres, AMAZING JOURNEY, which had been proving difficult to settle and getting its head up, was steadied away from the heels of CITY SURFER. After the 900 Metres, LIMONCELLO was bumped and carried wider by CITY SURFER which shifted out after being steadied away from the heels of SEAKING TREASURE. After this, LIMONCELLO travelled wide and without cover for the remainder of the race. HELENE ELITE made the turn at the 800 Metres awkwardly, shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of OSCAR PRINCE. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, AMAZING JOURNEY hung out and near the 700 Metres was steadied away from the heels of LIMONCELLO. After this, AMAZING JOURNEY continued to prove difficult to settle, near the 600 Metres became unbalanced when racing tight inside LIMONCELLO, shifted in and caused crowding to LITTLE BIG BOY which became unbalanced. After the 400 Metres, AMAZING JOURNEY was bumped by LIMONCELLO which shifted in. AMAZING JOURNEY then for some distance was unable to obtain clear running inside LIMONCELLO and behind CITY SURFER and near the 300 Metres bumped LIMONCELLO. When questioned regarding the poor performance of MULTO EXPRESSO, D Beadman said his mount travelled satisfactorily until the 600 Metres. He said when other runners improved around his outside at that point, he endeavoured to follow SHATIN WIN WIN, however, MULTO EXPRESSO was reluctant to hold its position. He said after this MULTO EXPRESSO was disappointing in the manner in which it finished the race off. AMAZING JOURNEY was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. MULTO EXPRESSO and LIMONCELLO were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of AMAZING JOURNEY, MULTO EXPRESSO and LIMONCELLO after the race did not show any significant findings. SEAKING TREASURE and SHATIN WIN WIN were sent for sampling.
