MULLAAD was slow to begin. On jumping, WATCHMAN and RAMPANT LION bumped. From a wide barrier, TIMBER CITY was taken back to a rearward position with cover. After the 600 Metres, WATCHMAN was steadied when crowded for room between MULLAAD and RAMPANT LION (D Beadman) which at this time shifted to the outside of MULTI-WIN SPIRIT. D Beadman was told to exercise greater care. At the 300 Metres, RAMPANT LION was steadied when having difficulty obtaining clear running behind PERFECT ATHLETE. RAMPANT LION was then shifted out from behind PERFECT ATHLETE and in doing so bumped PLEASURE PLEASURE which was momentarily crowded for room inside AURELIAN. Over the concluding stages, WATCHMAN hung out and shifted wider on the track. In the Straight, RISING WIN, which was shifted to the outside of the field, hung out. Throughout the race, SUPER travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight shifted to the outside rail. MULTI-WIN SPIRIT and RAMPANT LION were sent for sampling.
