Steward Report Predict Pace Map
Just prior to the start being effected, IRISH JIG became fractious, lunged forward, broke open the front gates of its stall momentarily before other gates were released. IRISH JIG then on jumping bounded in the air and lost a considerable amount of ground. Before being allowed to race again, IRISH JIG will have to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test. At the 900 Metres, HE CAN TANGO got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of WINNING REWARD. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, SUPER TRAVELLER shifted in momentarily, bumped the hindquarters of WINNING REWARD which became unbalanced, shifted in and caused crowding on its inside to FIRM OFFER which as a result was checked. In this incident, HE CAN TANGO was also steadied away from the heels of SUPER TRAVELLER. For the majority of the race, KIMBO KID and SILVER SUN travelled wide and without cover. B Prebble (VENI VEDI VICI) said his mount travelled only fairly throughout the run and in the Straight gave ground. He said in his opinion VENI VEDI VICI did not appear to be striding out fully. VENI VEDI VICI was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, VENI VEDI VICI was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse had a throat inflammation. Before being allowed to race again, VENI VEDI VICI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When questioned regarding the poor performance of MASTER POWER, D Beadman explained his mount failed to finish the race off after proving difficult to settle in the early stages. He said today’s race was considerably stronger than when the horse finished second at its most recent start. MASTER POWER and IRISH JIG were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of MASTER POWER after the race did not show any significant findings. After the race, IRISH JIG was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said the horse had sustained a cut to the outside of its right front heel. DAO DAO and SKYVIEW BAR were sent for sampling.
