ME THE BEST was withdrawn on 10.6.08 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (colic). Before being allowed to race again, ME THE BEST will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. HURRICANE WAY was slow to begin. On jumping, CHEERFUL HAPPINESS got its head up. MEGA BULLET began awkwardly, then shortly afterwards lost further ground when steadied away from the heels of BAUHINIA which on jumping shifted out. In the early and middle stages, VITALITY CHAMP raced wide and without cover. Near the 1300 Metres, CHEERFUL HAPPINESS and MEGA BULLET bumped when crowded for room inside VITALITY CHAMP which shifted in momentarily. When the tempo of the race steadied near the 1200 Metres, GALAXY DANCER for some distance got its head up on a number of occasions and proved difficult to settle. At the 800 Metres, CHEERFUL HAPPINESS was left racing wide and without cover. At the 250 Metres, HURRICANE WAY was awkwardly placed inside SIXTY SECONDS which shifted in slightly. In the Straight, MEGA BULLET hung in and proved difficult to ride. CHEERFUL HAPPINESS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of CHEERFUL HAPPINESS after the race did not show any significant findings. MEGA BULLET, SIXTY SECONDS and CITY SURFER were sent for sampling.
