TRAVEL CONSULTANT was slow to begin. GANBARIA lifted its front feet off the ground as the gates opened, then took time to muster speed despite being ridden along. From a wide barrier, MAGIC TURBO was taken back in the early stages. Shortly after the start, VALUE CHOICE was checked when crowded for room between MAGI JOY and WITHALLMYHEART which was carried in by SUPER FANTASY which in turn was carried in by SPEED FIGHTER which shifted ground on jumping. In this incident, WITHALLMYHEART was also hampered. No action was taken. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, TRAVEL CONSULTANT was crowded for room inside RACING SPIRIT which got its head on the side and shifted in while awkwardly placed inside the heels of GANBARIA which shifted in slightly. No action was taken. After the 200 Metres, MAGIC TURBO, which was closing the race off strongly, was shifted to the outside of COSMO SUCCESSOR to continue going forward. For the major part of the race, SPEED FIGHTER travelled wide and without cover. Throughout the race, COSMO SUCCESSOR travelled wide and without cover. SUPER FANTASY was sent for an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of SUPER FANTASY after the race did not show any significant findings. VALUE CHOICE, WITHALLMYHEART and GANBARIA were sent for sampling. The Stewards will afford P H Lo (SPEED FIGHTER) an opportunity of explaining his riding in the early stages of the race at the Sha Tin racemeeting next Sunday.
