After arriving at the Start, it was noted FANTASTIC GUY had shifted its left front plate. This plate was reset. FANTASTIC GUY was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. After the race, it was reported FANTASTIC GUY had lost its left front plate. THE GOODIES and SEASONS KNACK were slow to begin. Shortly after the start, AMSTERDAM, which had been slow to begin, lost further ground when crowded for room between JAMESINA which shifted in and FANTASTIC GUY which was carried out by NOBLE HEART. After the 1800 Metres, TRIUMPHANT DIAMOND was steadied away from the heels of JAMESINA. After entering the Back Straight, INFINITE DELIGHT was shifted wider on the course. Near the 100 Metres, JAMESINA and LOCAL POWER bumped. Apprentice K T Yeung (TRIUMPHANT DIAMOND) explained whilst his mount has won previously on a yielding track, it did not handle today’s soft track conditions. TRIUMPHANT DIAMOND was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of TRIUMPHANT DIAMOND after the race did not show any significant findings. LONDON EXPRESS, THE GOODIES and JAMESINA were sent for sampling.
