When being saddled, SUPER PEGASUS became fractious, fell and became cast. SUPER PEGASUS was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was not suitable to race. Acting on this advice, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of SUPER PEGASUS. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER PEGASUS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. From the outside barrier, POS TRUMPS was taken back in the early stages. After passing the winning post on the first occasion, NOBLE HEART, which had been ridden along to maintain its position, became unbalanced when crowded for room inside MULTO EXPRESSO which when proving difficult to settle shifted in slightly while being steadied away from the heels of runners in front. After this incident, MULTO EXPRESSO continued to prove difficult to settle for some distance. At the 100 Metres, NOBLE HEART, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied when unable to improve between HAPPY CRUSADER and VERY FIT. After this, NOBLE HEART was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. O Doleuze (ADD THE FUN) explained the horse has been ridden successfully in both forward and rearward positions. He said he did not believe tonight’s race would be run at an overly strong tempo and therefore on jumping he endeavoured to obtain a position behind MULTO EXPRESSO which had drawn to his inside as he believed that horse would be in a position in front of midfield. He added ADD THE FUN travelled comfortably in the midfield position. AMAZING CHOISIR and MULTO EXPRESSO were sent for sampling.
