SEASON LINKZ and BABY WAVE were slow to begin. TRAVEL GUIDE began awkwardly and shifted out. DREAM HORSE began awkwardly and was buffeted between HAPPY GO LUCKY and TUSCAN SPIRIT. After this, DREAM HORSE took time to muster speed. Shortly after the start, WINE WIN blundered. When being taken back shortly after the start, THE WORLD OF LOVE got its head up. At the 900 Metres, MEGA HILL got its head up when being steadied to allow WINE WIN to cross. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, BEJEWELED became unbalanced in its action after being carried out by MEGA HILL which shifted ground when being steadied away from the heels of WINE WIN while proving difficult to settle. No action was taken. In the middle stages, DREAM HORSE hung out. Shortly after straightening, SPECIAL K was steadied and shifted out away from the heels of MEGA HILL to obtain clear running. At the 300 Metres, SUPER GENERAL was steadied away from the heels of THE WORLD OF LOVE which when being shifted to the outside of DREAM HORSE to obtain clear running was carried wider by that runner. No action was taken. Over about the final 100 Metres, BABY WAVE could not obtain clear running. Because of this, BABY WAVE was not fully tested. For the majority of the race, TYCOON TAYLOR travelled wide and without cover. TYCOON TAYLOR was sent for an official veterinary inspection. After the race, TYCOON TAYLOR was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, TYCOON TAYLOR will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. TUSCAN SPIRIT and SPECIAL K were sent for sampling.
