Recent trials show this horse performed well in a Conghua turf barrier trial over 1200m on July 3rd, finishing (1-1-1) and showing good energy through the final stages. Its last run, also over this distance, saw a moderate break but a strong finish, closing ground quickly to finish fifth – beaten by two and a half lengths. A subsequent trial showed slight improvement. This time, the horse receives a 2lb weight relief but has drawn an outside barrier which isn’t ideal. While its times are comparable within the group, a hold-up tactics will likely be employed, relying on a strong finish. The jockey appears to have some understanding of the horse's capabilities and there's good communication between rider and trainer, though this may not be enough for success in this race.
