Six weeks ago, in a similar race, it ran well, jumping moderately and settling towards the rear with a consistent speed, finishing second, beaten by half a length. A recent trial showed it struggling to keep up with the pace. This time, it carries only a 2lb penalty, faces comparable competition, can secure a good position tracking the leaders from an inside draw, and possesses a clear advantage in ability over other contenders.
