On March 28th, a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m showed moderate form. Prior to that, in early March, the horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley 1200m, settling nicely but lacking any impressive acceleration and finishing well-beaten. A subsequent barrier trial yielded an acceptable performance. The horse has lost 28 pounds in body weight and is now trialing on Sha Tin turf over 1200m; this time carrying no additional weight, with comparable times to its group and drawing a favorable barrier allowing for potential early speed. The jockey has some understanding of the horse's ability, and pre-race preparation appears solid, however, it’s worth noting the horse has failed to place in three attempts over this distance. Trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal, hoping for an improved run.
