Three weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over Sha Tin’s 1400m, taking the lead and showing good acceleration in the middle stages, but ultimately failing to sustain it. He finished eighth, beaten three and a half lengths. Now stepping back to Sha Tin over 1200m for his first attempt at this distance, he benefits from a two-pound weight reduction despite the unfavorable trip. A favorable barrier draw offers an opportunity to lead, and with adequate preparation, a clean break should allow him to challenge for a forward position.
