On April 8th, during a turf trial over 1600m (sections of 2-2-2-1), the horse showed good speed and energy. On March 24th, at Conghua on the turf over 1600m (sections of 3-2-2-1), it travelled comfortably near the front with an easy pace. This is a recent winner; two months ago, it impressively won over 2000m on Sha Tin turf, despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. It then finished strongly in the final two sections to secure victory by three and a half lengths. Following a short break, the horse has shown improvement in two barrier trials. Another turf trial over 1600m was completed; this time it doesn’t need to carry extra weight. With eleven starts over this distance resulting in six wins and the fastest times amongst its competition, it is capable of tracking the leaders or setting the pace itself. The horse appears in good form, the jockey has some understanding of its ability, trainer and jockey are aligned, and a final gallop was completed showing continued improvement. A clean break will be key to securing a forward position.
