Two weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, the performance was poor. A slow jump meant it settled towards the rear of the field, making a mid-race effort to chase the leaders but ultimately finishing well behind. This time with a two-pound weight reduction, the timing is reasonable and capable of settling in a good position tracking the leaders. The barrier draw is acceptable, preparation is thorough. Even with a weak finishing kick, the overall situation isn’t entirely disadvantageous.
