Two weeks ago, this horse performed satisfactorily in a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He made a good effort during the middle stages, accelerating strongly over the final two sections while chasing the leaders. Now trying Happy Valley 1800m for the first time, he benefits from a five-pound weight reduction but the distance is not ideal. The plan is to settle back in this race, however, his finishing kick may not be strong enough against the opposition and the situation isn’t particularly favorable despite securing a reasonable barrier position; it's best to assess his performance after one run.
