Four weeks ago, over the same distance, he ran satisfactorily despite a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He showed a strong late run, finishing within two and a half lengths of the winner in seventh place. A recent barrier trial didn’t reveal full potential. Having lost 24 pounds in body weight, he will carry his assigned weight this time. With six wins from 28 starts over this distance, comparable times to rivals, and drawing a favourable barrier, he appears as a strong contender in the upcoming race. The trainer-jockey combination remains solid and is focused on final preparations.
