On May 20th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 9-9-7), moving out from the turn and making a strong effort to close. Six weeks ago, in a 1200m dirt race, it ran well despite a slow start, settling towards the rear but finishing with a powerful late run. A subsequent barrier trial showed it struggled to keep pace. Another dirt mile trial followed, and this time the horse will carry an additional five pounds. Times were good within its group, requiring a hold-up tactics with a strong finishing kick expected. Despite adequate pre-race preparation, the outside draw is unfavorable and requires patience.
