ALWAYS AWESOME (H245): Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped. JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP (H295): When questioned regarding his riding in the Home Straight and the reason why his mount became held up behind BEAT HOLLOW near the 150 Metres, M F Poon stated that his initial intention was to take a run to the inside of BEAT HOLLOW when that runner shifted out near the 250 Metres. He said when BEAT HOLLOW shifted back in approaching the 200 Metres and the run closed, he then contemplated shifting to the outside of BEAT HOLLOW to obtain clear running. He added when NOBLE WIN was positioned to his outside, he was unable to shift to BEAT HOLLOW’s outside and as a result was steadied away from the heels of BEAT HOLLOW for some distance thereafter. He further stated that over the final 100 Metres when BEAT HOLLOW shifted out, JOYFUL FRIENDSHIP obtained clear running and finished the race off well. The Stewards found the tactics adopted by Jockey Poon were reasonable in the circumstances. NOBLE WIN (H195): Jumped only fairly. MASTER OF ALL (H177): Sent for sampling post-race. RIGHT HONOURABLE (A164): Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. BEAT HOLLOW (G414): No report. DAILY TROPHY (H283): Shifted out on jumping. On the Home Turn lay out and despite the efforts of its rider shifted out. After the race, C Y Ho stated that the intention was to find cover, but after his mount commenced well, he was obliged to allow it to take up a more forward position. PERFECT PEACH (E488): Shortly after the start was bumped by ALWAYS AWESOME which shifted in. Sent for sampling post-race. MORE RICE (H271): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, B Thompson reported that his mount lay out throughout the event and gave ground in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HO HO STAR (H291): Approaching the 250 Metres was bumped by TSUEN WAN GLORY which shifted out and away from DAILY TROPHY. TSUEN WAN GLORY (E403): Jumped awkwardly. After the race, M Chadwick reported that his mount travelled satisfactorily until the 500 Metres where it came under pressure and gave ground from that point. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HERO ICON (G422): On arrival at the Start, K De Melo expressed concern with the action of HERO ICON. HERO ICON was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. After the race, K De Melo again expressed concern with his mount’s action in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, HERO ICON will be subjected to an official veterinary examination which must include additional diagnostic assessments. GENERAL WINNER (E376): Lay in under pressure in the Home Straight. Sent for sampling post-race. FORTUNE MASTER (D371): Crowded at the start by GENERAL WINNER which shifted in. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that FORTUNE MASTER was lame in its left front leg. Before being allowed to race again, FORTUNE MASTER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

ALACRITY (H210): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. APACHE PASS (D433): No report. BERLIN TANGO (E120): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Making the turn near the 1300 Metres hung out. After the 600 Metres was momentarily crowded between M UNICORN and SO WE JOY which shifted out slightly. Near the 150 Metres shifted in, resulting in its rider B Avdulla having to stop riding and straighten. WOODFIRE BRO (G115): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. Sent for sampling post-race. M UNICORN (G466): After the 1500 Metres was steadied to avoid SO WE JOY (A Atzeni) which shifted in. A Atzeni was advised to exercise more care. When questioned regarding the performance, C Y Ho stated that after jumping awkwardly, his mount settled back in the field. He said approaching the first turn M UNICORN was hampered when crowded by SO WE JOY but thereafter travelled only fairly. He added in the Home Straight M UNICORN made a respiratory noise and when not in a competitive position he eased it down over the concluding stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, M UNICORN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. SO WE JOY (D082): No report. SAMARKAND (H070): In the early stages raced keenly and got its head up when being steadied to allow WOODFIRE BRO to cross. After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount hung out making the Home Turn. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. ROMANTIC CHARM (H227): No report. MASSIVE ACTION (E445): When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer F C Lor stated that MASSIVE ACTION was advantaged by being able to dictate in the lead today together with the light weight. BABY CRYSTAL (H081): Sent for sampling post-race. FAST RESPONDER (J295): After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount travelled satisfactorily until the 400 Metres where it came under pressure from that point and gave ground. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. PLEASANT ENDEAVOR (E114): No report. TOY SOLTERO (J268): Slow to begin. Near the 700 Metres became unbalanced when racing to the outside of SUPER LOVE DRAGON. FLYING HIGH (E204): No report. HAPPY UNITED (H208): After the race, Z Purton could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER LOVE DRAGON (J038): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. VIVA HUNTER (E369): After the 300 Metres was shifted to the inside of LUCKY BANNER to obtain clear running and then raced tight to the inside of that runner until near the 100 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. PANDA LEGEND (H002): Near the 100 Metres was eased when momentarily crowded by MISSION BRAVO which shifted in. G LINER (H072): When questioned regarding his riding, H Bowman stated that the intention was to lead the event, but his mount stumbled on jumping and as a result lost ground. He said in the early stages he then attempted to ride his mount forward, however, G LINER did not show sufficient pace to cross runners to his inside and as a result he took a trailing position behind MAYHEM. He added that entering the Home Straight he was able to place his mount under pressure until near the 200 Metres where he was unable to improve between MAYHEM and TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR and as a result G LINER did not obtain clear running from that point to the finish of the event. Trainer J Richards confirmed the instructions issued. MISSION BRAVO (E383): Jumped only fairly and from the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. FAST VICTORY (H393): After the race, K Teetan stated that his mount was under pressure in the middle stages and failed to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TRIUMPHANT WARRIOR (H430): A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LUCKY BANNER (G354): No report. STARSHIP EIGHTY (H022): Held up on the Home Turn. Between the 150 Metres and the 50 Metres was held up for clear running behind MAYHEM. FOREVER FOLKS (G463): No report. PINS PRINCE (G013): No report. STORM LEGEND (G139): No report. KING MILES (J158): Jumped only fairly. Sent for sampling post-race. ROBOT MASTER (J107): No report. SUPER HIGHWAY (G050): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUPER HIGHWAY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. AWESOME TREASURE (E435): Sent for sampling post-race. ALP'S AFFECTION (J289): Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced. OMAKASE (H416): Near the 200 Metres CRAZY TREASURE improved to the inside of URBAN TRIUMPH (M Chadwick) and then was taken in slightly by URBAN TRIUMPH, resulting in OMAKASE being positioned tight to the inside of CRAZY TREASURE. When CRAZY TREASURE and OMAKASE made slight contact, OMAKASE over-reacted, became unbalanced and lost ground. M Chadwick was advised to exercise more care. STRATHBARRY (H413): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race. Before being allowed to race again, STRATHBARRY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CRAZY TREASURE (J063): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. In the middle stages raced keenly and near the 650 Metres was steadied away from KING MILES. Prior to declaring weighed-in, the Stewards viewed the patrol films to ascertain if there were sufficient grounds to lodge a protest/objection against 3rd placegetter URBAN TRIUMPH on behalf of the connections of CRAZY TREASURE. After taking into consideration the minor nature of the incident and the manner in which both horses finished the race off, and when Jockey Badel did not lodge a protest/objection, the Stewards declared weighed-in on the numbers semaphored by the judge when they could not be satisfied that this incident had materially affected the finishing positions of the two horses. SMART LEADER (B456): Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover from the 1000 Metres. URBAN TRIUMPH (H200): No report.

PRINCE OF PORTY (H009): Jumped only fairly and then raced tight to the inside of STRATHPEFFER for a short distance later. After the 900 Metres was steadied away from CIRCUIT TEN. Sent for sampling post-race. SUPERSONIC (J192): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. LO PAN SPIRIT (J233): Raced keenly for some distance after the 1000 Metres when positioned tight to the inside of SUPERSONIC. CIRCUIT MAXIMUS (J347): Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. Near the 300 Metres raced tight to the inside of PRINCE OF PORTY and then shifted in and away from that runner. LUCKY SYMPHONY (J089): No report. SKY PROPHET (J095): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the 900 Metres was steadied away from PRINCE OF PORTY. After the 400 Metres was held up for clear running and near the 300 Metres was steadied as it improved into a tight run between SUPERSONIC which was giving ground and HERO WARRIOR which raced tight to the inside of CIRCUIT MAXIMUS which shifted in and away from PRINCE OF PORTY. STEPS AHEAD (J263): Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Sent for sampling post-race. CIRCUIT TEN (G429): Jumped awkwardly. On arrival at the Start, it was noted to have blood in its mouth. CIRCUIT TEN was examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race. Near the 900 Metres was steadied when crowded for room between HERO WARRIOR and LUCKY SYMPHONY which made the turn awkwardly and shifted out. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. GALE SAGA (J152): After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that he was instructed to position his mount where comfortable. He said when caught wide in the early stages he elected to shift his mount across behind runners to avoid racing wide. HERO WARRIOR (J006): After the 1100 Metres raced tight to the inside of LO PAN SPIRIT which shifted in and away from SUPERSONIC. HAYDAY (H321): Sent for sampling post-race. STRATHPEFFER (H095): After the race, M Chadwick reported that his intention was to hold a more forward position, but despite riding his mount along in the early stages did not show sufficient pace to do so.

After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount gave ground quickly over the final 100 Metres and, in his opinion, would appreciate a surface with more give in it. LEEDOX (J154): Jumped awkwardly, made contact with the right side of its barrier and was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages. From approaching the 400 Metres to the 250 Metres was held up for clear running behind SUPER TAICHI and GIANT LEAP. After shifting to the inside of GIANT LEAP then became held up for clear running near the 200 Metres behind HAPPY DAILY and was again held up until near the 150 Metres. LET'S DO IT (E132): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 450 Metres was shifted to the outside of WINNING GOLD to obtain clear running. From the 400 Metres to the 300 Metres was taken wider when WINNING GOLD shifted out to improve. WINNING GOLD (H461): After the 150 Metres shifted out, resulting in its rider K De Melo having to stop riding and straighten. Sent for sampling post-race. LUCKY GOLD (G112): After the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount travelled well in the event, but failed to respond to his riding in the Home Straight and was disappointing. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GOLDEN RISE (H242): No report. CHARITY GAIN (H431): Jumped only fairly and then from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. HAPPY DAILY (E294): Whilst the Stewards were satisfied that the riding of Y L Chung, 6th placegetter, over the concluding stages did not affect the horse’s finishing position, he was nonetheless reminded of his obligation to ensure that he fully rides his mounts out to the finish of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. GIANT LEAP (J143): No report. NEVER PETER OUT (J200): No report. SOARING BRONCO (J162): Approaching the 100 Metres lay out and was awkwardly placed close to GOLDEN RISE. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, Apprentice E C W Wong stated that whilst he intended to hold a more forward position, he did not expect to race in the lead. JOLLY RULER (E346): Sent for sampling post-race. OWNERS' PRAISE (H047): Shifted out on jumping and was bumped. From the 400 Metres until the 250 Metres was badly held up for clear running behind RIVER VIEWS. RUN RUN TIMING (H403): When questioned, H Bentley stated that from the outside barrier and with his mount stepping up in distance today, he was instructed to ride it in a conservative manner in the early stages. Trainer C H Yip confirmed the instructions issued. When questioned regarding his riding between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres and as to whether there was an opportunity to ride his mount with more vigour to obtain clear running between ACA POWER and STURDY RUBY, H Bentley stated that after shifting to the outside of ACA POWER, he felt that runner shift out slightly which resulted in him calling to the rider of ACA POWER, A Badel. He said when he was not confident that there was sufficient room to improve between those two runners, he then did not fully commit to this position until approaching the 200 Metres when ACA POWER shifted in. Jockey Bentley was advised that, whenever possible, he should ensure that he takes advantage of runs when they present at the first available opportunity. TOP SCORER (J120): Bumped on the hindquarters shortly after the start. Sent for sampling post-race. ENJOY GOLF (J222): No report. GRAND BOSS (J353): Raced wide and without cover from the 1000 Metres. After the 500 Metres was bumped by STURDY RUBY. NOT A FEW (J109): No report. SKY TRUST (J161): No report. STURDY RUBY (H207): Bumped after the 500 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. PACKING BRILLIANT (H421): No report. SUPER CHARIZZARD (J184): Jumped only fairly and then was crowded shortly after start. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HOSS (H055): Between the 400 Metres and the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running when being shifted to the outside of GRAND BOSS. RIVER VIEWS (G212): Bumped on jumping. After the race, L Ferraris stated that after leading the event, when placed under pressure in the Home Straight, he had some concern with the action of his mount. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of RIVER VIEWS, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, RIVER VIEWS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. ACA POWER (E144): Shortly after the start was crowded by TOP SCORER which shifted in and away from HOSS. Raced keenly in the middle stages. After the 500 Metres was bumped by STURDY RUBY.

EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS (H170): Raced keenly when obliged to race wide and without cover for the majority of the event. After the race, Z Purton advised that his intention was to lead the event, but his mount, when standing awkwardly in the barriers, jumped awkwardly and then did not show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. STELLAR EXPRESS (J186): For some distance near the 350 Metres had difficulty obtaining clear running. Near the 150 Metres improved into a narrow run between GOLDEN EMPIRE and GRACIOUS EXPRESS and did not obtain clear running until after the 100 Metres. Sent for sampling post-race. AMAZING VICTORY (G123): In the middle stages raced keenly. GOLDEN EMPIRE (E490): Sent for sampling post-race. GUSTOSISIMO (J303): When questioned, C Y Ho stated that at its first race start he had ridden the horse in a rearward position after drawing a wide barrier. He said today from an inside draw he was instructed to endeavour to hold a forward position and as a consequence he rode his mount along in the early stages to comply with his instructions. Trainer J Richards confirmed the instructions and stated that such instructions were issued as connections were of the opinion that GUSTOSISIMO had raced well in Australia when ridden in an on-pace position. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea. PRAWNS ELEVEN (J140): From the outside barrier raced keenly when being shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Near the 550 Metres got its head up when being steadied away from CALIFORNIA DEEPLY. When questioned, H Bentley stated that he intended to follow CALIFORNIA DEEPLY into the race on entering the Home Straight. He said when that runner did not initially improve, he then elected to shift to its outside, but then became held up for clear running behind E LEGEND and TELECOM POWER which resulted in PRAWNS ELEVEN not obtaining clear running until approaching the 200 Metres where it finished the race off well. GRACIOUS EXPRESS (J188): Sent for sampling post-race. LESLIE (E471): Jumped only fairly. CALIFORNIA DEEPLY (G451): No report. BEAUTY MISSILE (H123): Jumped awkwardly. E LEGEND (G028): Approaching the 100 Metres TELECOM POWER shifted in and away from PRAWNS ELEVEN and made contact with E LEGEND.
