FULL PACK was slow to begin. ZEPHYRUS was slow to begin and shortly after the start was steadied away from the heels of FLORAL NIRVANA which shifted out after being bumped by VISIONARIO. Making the first turn near the 2000 Metres, ZEPHYRUS struck the running rail and became unbalanced. Near the 1900 Metres, FLORAL NIRVANA and MASTER DREAMER were crowded for room between FANTASTIC GUY and CLASSIC ENERGY which shifted out. Near the 900 Metres, MASTER DRAGON and STOLEN THUNDER bumped as MASTER DRAGON attempted to shift to the outside of FANTASTIC GUY. At the 400 Metres, FLORAL NIRVANA was checked when disappointed for running between MASTER DREAMER and FULL PACK and then near the 100 Metres was steadied and shifted to the inside of ZEPHYRUS when disappointed for running between that horse and FULL PACK. Throughout the race, MASTER DREAMER travelled wide and without cover. The performance of VISIONARIO, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, VISIONARIO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. When questioned, O Doleuze stated that CLASSIC ENERGY was difficult to settle in the early stages of the race, however, near the 1700 Metres obtained a position behind STOLEN THUNDER. He said that horse was then steadied to allow FANTASTIC GUY to cross and CLASSIC ENERGY got its head up, again proved very difficult to settle and shifted out away from the heels of STOLEN THUNDER. He said when this happened, TELECOM GOGO improved its position to be racing to the inside of CLASSIC ENERGY, resulting in his mount being left racing three wide and without cover. He said, for this reason, he allowed his mount to stride forward into the lead so as to obtain a position close to the rail. He said after obtaining the lead, CLASSIC ENERGY continued to prove difficult to settle, he elected to restrain his mount without fighting against it as it had failed to finish off its races in the past after proving difficult to settle. He said when CLASSIC ENERGY continued to race fiercely, he allowed his mount some rein passing the 900 Metres in the hope that it would travel more kindly. He added that he had recommended to connections to drop the horse back in distance as it is not settling in its races at present. A veterinary inspection of FLORAL NIRVANA and VISIONARIO after the race did not show any significant findings. WONDERFUL GAINS, STOLEN THUNDER and TELECOM GOGO were sent for sampling. <27/5/2010 Additional Veterinary Report> VISIONARIO, which finished tailed out, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. VISIONARIO was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer S Woods this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its right front leg. As previously advised, VISIONARIO will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
