Steward Report Predict Pace Map
STREET CAT was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, SUPREME WIN and ALWAYS SOMETHING were tightened for room between EASY WINNER and FLYING COLOURS which was taken in by LOYAL ARMY which itself was bumped by SUPER BOY at the start. From wide draws, BLAZING SADDLES and ISLAND SUPER were taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Near the 1000 Metres, FLYING COLOURS was steadied away from the heels of SUPER BOY (J Lloyd) which after shifting in when barely clear was then steadied. J Lloyd was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future. In this incident, SUPREME WIN, which was racing to the inside of FLYING COLOURS, was bumped by that horse. TRIUMPHANT COLOURS, which was following, was hampered in consequence. After the 700 Metres, FLYING COLOURS was left racing wide and without cover. FINAL ANSWER was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and after the 300 Metres made contact with SUPER BOY when being shifted to the outside of GOOD WORDS. GOOD STRIKE was held up for clear running until near the 200 Metres. Near the 200 Metres, SUPREME WIN and FLYING COLOURS bumped. Over the final 50 Metres, FLYING COLOURS raced tight between TRIUMPHANT COLOURS and SUPREME WIN. For the majority of the race, EASY WINNER travelled wide and without cover. After the race, H W Lai reported that near the 350 Metres STREET CAT became disunited in its action. He said for this reason he eased the horse down from this point. A veterinary inspection of STREET CAT after the race did not show any significant findings. Before being allowed to race again, STREET CAT will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection of LOYAL ARMY after the race did not show any significant findings. FINAL ANSWER and TRIUMPHANT COLOURS were sent for sampling. <13/12/2010 Additional Veterinary Report> STREET CAT, which was eased down near the 350 Metres, was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said at that time there were no significant findings. STREET CAT was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer T K Ng this morning. He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg. As previously advised, STREET CAT will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination before being allowed to race again.
