Shortly after the start, ALICE TOO raced tight between LUCKY MONEY STAR and CHEERFUL DOUBLE. At the entrance to the Straight, CHANTILLY was steadied and shifted out across the heels of FANTASTIC GUY. Near the 350 Metres, KING GALILEO was steadied when disappointed for running between FOREST FOUNTAIN and FANTASTIC GUY. Approaching the 300 Metres, GREEN GLORY was shifted out away from the heels of CHEERFUL DOUBLE. Over the final 200 Metres, CHEERFUL DOUBLE got its head on the side and lay in. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that FANTASTIC GUY had sustained a minor wound to the left hind cannon. A veterinary inspection of CHANTILLY after the race revealed that the horse had sustained a minor wound to the inside of the right front cannon. LUCKY MONEY STAR, SUNNY SMILES and GREEN GLORY were sent for sampling.
