VAUGIRARD shifted in at the start and bumped SAPELLI. Near the 1100 Metres, VAUGIRARD got its head up and proved difficult to settle when awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOBLE CONQUEROR. After the 600 Metres, FAT CHOY OOHLALA raced tight between PURE CHAMPION and VAUGIRARD. For a short distance in the early part of the Straight, KING OF SCOTS was held up for clear running. Approaching the 100 Metres, PACKING OK was crowded for room between KING OF SCOTS and SAPELLI which was taken in by THUMBS UP (B Prebble). B Prebble was advised to exercise more care in future. A veterinary inspection of PURE CHAMPION and JACOBEE after the race did not show any significant findings.
