THE FAST LANE proved very difficult to load and then was slow to begin. Before being allowed to race again, THE FAST LANE will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial. From wide barriers, ACTIVISM, AMBASSADORSHIP and KENSWORTH KID were all taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, OWNERS’ GLORY momentarily raced tight inside YOUNG HERO which was racing inside the heels of PRECISION ERA. In the Straight, PRECISION ERA got its head on the side and hung in. After the race, it was noted that WIN ALONG had a small quantity of blood at its left nostril. An endoscopic examination of WIN ALONG confirmed the horse not to have bled but was a “roarer” which had previously been reported. AMBASSADORSHIP, MAGNUMOUS and DRAGON BACHELOR were sent for sampling.
