M Dee (EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS) was warned for initially presenting himself to be weighed out with the incorrect saddle cloth number.
FAMILY FOLKS and BUNDLE OF CHARM bumped at the start, resulting in BUNDLE OF CHARM then shifting in and crowding FAMILY FOLKS in onto KOKUSHI MUSOU.
From a wide barrier, FLYING ACE was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
BUNDLE OF CHARM was held up for clear running on the Home Turn and in the early part of the Home Straight.
Over the final 50 Metres, WINNER METHOD could not be ridden to the finish when racing tight between BUNDLE OF CHARM and EIGHTY LIGHT YEARS.
After the race, M F Poon (REVE PARISIEN) reported that he had concerns there was something amiss with his mount and as a result did not ride it out to the finish of the event. A veterinary inspection of REVE PARISIEN immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, REVE PARISIEN will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of WINNING METHOD, BUNDLE OF CHARM and KOKUSHI MUSOU immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
FLYING ACE and ACE ONE were sent for sampling.
