LITTLE PLAYER jumped awkwardly and then was bumped by I GIVE which shifted out.
NOIR RIDER was slow to begin and then was crowded between FIGHTING STAR and EUROMISSILE which was taken in by NOBLE BOYZ which shifted in after bumping heavily with SUPER CLASS.
I GIVE raced keenly in the early stages.
Near the 500 Metres, EUROMISSILE shifted to the outside of FIGHTING STAR when that runner commenced to give ground, resulting in NOBLE BOYZ being hampered and taken wider.
FIGHTING STAR raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
After the race, A Badel (FIGHTING STAR) reported that he felt something may have been amiss with his mount on entering the Home Straight and for this reason he eased it down from the event. A veterinary inspection of FIGHTING STAR immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of FIGHTING STAR was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, FIGHTING STAR will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Also after the race, H Bentley (ALLOY KING) reported that after jumping only fairly and settling back in the field, his mount did not appreciate the "Good to Yielding” track conditions. A veterinary inspection of ALLOY KING immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
THE GOOD DEAL, DAY DAY RICH and VAMOS were sent for sampling.
