DRAGON'S LUCK (H060): Shifted in abruptly on jumping. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have blood at the right nostril. An endoscopic examination confirmed the horse to be a bleeder.
GRATEFUL HEART (D278): No report.
WONDER KIT (G455): Was sent for sampling post-race.
O'LINER (H264): After the race, L Ferraris that his intention was to hold a forward position and lead if circumstances permitted. He said as the start was effected O’LINER jumped only fairly but then was crowded for room between runners and as a consequence settled back in the field in the early stages. He added approaching the first turn he allowed O’LINER to improve forward but was obliged to race wide and without cover thereafter. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of mucus in the horse’s trachea.
ACCOLADE START (H331): Was bumped on jumping. The performance of ACCOLADE START, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, ACCOLADE START will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
CAPITAL DELIGHT (H262): Was slow to begin and then was crowded between O’LINER and DRAGON’S LUCK which shifted in abruptly on jumping.
BEAUTY GLORY (E459): No report.
MAGIC PHOENIX (E440): For some distance in the middle stages raced keenly and approaching the 600 Metres was steadied away from BEAUTY GLORY.
E UNIVERSE (H151): No report.
PHOENIX LIGHT (G192): A Badel expressed concern with the horse’s action on arrival at the start. PHOENIX LIGHT was examined by the Veterinary Officer who, after the necessary consultations, said the horse was suitable to race. Jumped only fairly.
HAPPY GOLF (H056): Approaching the 300 Metres improved into a tight run between MAGIC PHOENIX and O’LINER and was steadied away from the heels of O’LINER when disappointed for clear running. Then raced tight between those runners for a short distance thereafter.
NEVER TOO SOON (E434): Was sent for sampling post-race.
