RATTAN WORLD (G384): Slow to begin. CHARMING STEED (E494): Sent for sampling post-race. SPICY SO SMART (G203): When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance, Trainer P C Ng stated that at its last start the instructions were to lead, however, SPICY SO SMART was caught racing wide and without cover from the outside barrier and as a result gave ground in the Home Straight. He said tonight from a more favourable barrier SPICY SO SMART commenced so well and was able to lead without being pressured in the early stages and consequently finished the race off well and this was the main reason for its improved performance. Sent for sampling post-race. BRAVE AND BOLD (H275): Crowded on jumping. DEVIL AND GOLD (G443): Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied when racing tight to the inside of HAPPILY FRIENDS. SOARING TOWER (D500): After the race, A Atzeni explained that he had concern with his mount’s action during the running of the event and as a result retired it from the race passing the 600 Metres. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, SOARING TOWER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. DASHING TRIUMPH (G341): Steadied when crowded shortly after the start. In the early stages raced keenly when being steadied to obtain cover. After the race, Z Purton reported that his mount made a respiratory noise during the running of the event and failed to run on when placed under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils. Before being allowed to race again, DASHING TRIUMPH will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Sent for sampling post-race. HAPPILY FRIENDS (C533): Crowded on jumping. Approaching the 1000 Metres was steadied and taken in by CHARMING STEED (K H Chan) which shifted in when not clear. K H Chan was reprimanded. NOBLE BOYZ (E156): Near the 1100 Metres was steadied to avoid CHARMING STEED (K H Chan) which shifted in when not quite clear before being corrected by its rider. K H Chan was advised to exercise more care. FORTUNE TURBO (G316): Jumped awkwardly. BELL OF VICTORY (G116): After the race, K Teetan stated that after being held up for some distance after the 300 Metres when improving into a narrow run between DASHING TRIUMPH and TUNG HAYE HAYE, BELL OF VICTORY finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. TUNG HAYE HAYE (G105): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
