SUN OF MAKFI (D157): After the race, B Avdulla stated that his mount travelled comfortably in the early and middle stages but came under pressure from the 600 Metres and raced "flat”. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. Before being allowed to race again, SUN OF MAKFI will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HAPPY HERO (G322): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. After the race, L Hewitson stated that his mount was disadvantaged by having to make a wide run rounding the Home Turn but finished the race off reasonably well. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TRAVEL GUIDE (H182): Near the 150 Metres was bumped by GOLDEN FAIRY which shifted out.
GOLD STERLING (H032): Sent for sampling post-race.
COLOURFUL BARON (G301): No report.
FORTUNE TRIPLE (D274): Jumped only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
TURTLE AGAIN (H083): Made contact with a rail on leaving the Parade Ring, examined by the Veterinary Officer on arrival at the Start and passed suitable to race. Sent for sampling post-race.
VIVA A LA (G282): No report.
DIAMOND WINNER (H285): Bumped shortly after the start.
JOYFUL CHAMPION (G072): Jumped awkwardly and as a result lost ground.
MIGHTY STAR (G117): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
GOLDEN FAIRY (E448): Had some difficulty obtaining clear running near the 150 Metres and bumped with TRAVEL GUIDE.
