SPANGLE FORTUNE (G427): After the race, K C Leung stated that his mount failed to finish the race off in the Home Straight which he attributed to SPANGLE FORTUNE carrying the top weight of 135 lbs. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MORE RICE (H271): Near the 250 Metres was bumped and approaching the 200 Metres C L Chau momentarily dropped his right rein.
HAPPY TANGO (D075): Sent for sampling post-race.
VALIANT ELEGANCE (D285): Over the final 250 Metres shifted out under pressure, resulting in its rider Apprentice E C W Wong correcting at the 200 Metres. Apprentice Wong was advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts sooner than what he did on this occasion. He was further advised that his riding out over the final 150 Metres was also of concern that he should have made a greater effort to straighten his mount up as it continued to shift out under pressure. Sent for sampling post-race.
SMART LEADER (B456): Shortly after the start was hampered when bumped on the hindquarters. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event and lay out making the turn in the middle stages. Approaching the 250 Metres K De Melo lowered his visor.
PRESTIGE MOOCHI (H314): Jumped only fairly.
CASA LEGEND (G126): Jumped only fairly. Passing the 250 Metres made contact with MORE RICE when racing in restricted room between MORE RICE and SUPER JOY which shifted out.
ALL IS READY (G042): Shortly after the start was bumped by VALIANT ELEGANCE which shifted out.
EIGHT TRIGRAMS (C102): After the race, Apprentice Y L Chung could offer no explanation for his mount’s disappointing performance. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
SUPER JOY (G251): From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. Sent for sampling post-race.
CHIRON (E151): Over the final 50 Metres could not be ridden out when positioned close to MORE RICE and ALL IS READY. After the race, H Bentley stated that his mount was out-paced in the early stages and finished the race off only fairly. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
