COURIER WONDER (D449): From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. HOWDEEPISYOURLOVE (H093): Sent for sampling post-race. DUKE WAI (C188): After the race, C L Chau stated that from a wide barrier he was instructed to take up a forward position on his mount. Trainer P C Ng confirmed the instructions issued. WHIZZ KID (E392): No report. ADIOS (G338): Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. NERVOUS WITNESS (E421): Bumped shortly after the start. After the race, A Atzeni stated that his mount was not suited by being taken on in the lead throughout the early and middle stages and gave ground under pressure in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. The performance of NERVOUS WITNESS, a last start winner, was considered to be disappointing as compared to its last start. Before being allowed to race again, NERVOUS WITNESS will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. PACKING TREADMILL (G161): Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. Near the 200 Metres shifted in and away from WHIZZ KID, resulting in its rider L Hewitson having to stop riding and straighten and change his whip to his left hand shortly after. INVINCIBLE SAGE (H301): When placed under pressure near the 100 Metres lay out, resulting in its rider B Shinn having to stop riding and straighten his mount. FLYING ACE (G045): Between the 400 Metres and the 300 Metres was held up for clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. BEAUTY CHARGE (G231): After the race, M Chadwick reported that near the 800 Metres his mount was struck in the head by a clod and as a result became unbalanced and lost ground. DROMBEG BANNER (H117): Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
