WINNING REWARD began awkwardly and lost ground. CIRCULAR MACHINE was slow to begin. From a wide barrier, ROCKET WIN was taken across behind runners. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, CIRCULAR MACHINE was steadied away from the heels of GREAT ACHIEVEMENT. Making the first turn, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT was checked when crowded for room between FASHFIELD which shifted in and CALIFORNIA BISHOP which shifted out to relieve tightening to runners on its inside. In the circumstances, no action was taken. Approaching the 1200 Metres, INFINITE DELIGHT was steadied away from the heels of CALIFORNIA BISHOP. Prior to straightening, FASHFIELD, which commenced to give ground, became unbalanced when racing tight inside DISGUISE. On straightening, WINNING REWARD was steadied away from the heels of DORDENMA which shifted out. In the early part of the Straight, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT raced tight inside WIN AGAIN which shifted in. At the 200 Metres, TOM’S SIX was steadied and shifted out when disappointed for running inside DISGUISE. An inquiry into the reason for CALIFORNIA BISHOP and CIRCULAR MACHINE being checked after the 50 Metres will be held prior to the running of Race 1 at the Sha Tin Racecourse next Sunday 23 December 2007. Prior to the winning post, DISGUISE, which was hanging in, was steadied away from the heels of TOM’S SIX which at this time was carried in by GREAT ACHIEVEMENT. Because of this, DISGUISE was not ridden out to the end of the race as it normally would be. Throughout the race, WIN AGAIN travelled wide and without cover. DISGUISE, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT and TOM’S SIX were sent for sampling.
