Steward Report Predict Pace Map
LANCELOT was withdrawn on 6.11.09 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SO PRETTY SO SMART (W C Marwing). Before being allowed to race again, LANCELOT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. SUPER FAMILY and SAMMY’S FORTUNE, which both momentarily got their left hind legs on the barrier platform, were inspected by the Veterinary Officer who said they were suitable to race. SUPER IDEAL was slow to begin. Shortly after the start, EAST RIDER was crowded for room between SO PRETTY SO SMART and FEEL THE FUN, both of which shifted ground. Near the 850 Metres, FABULOUS START was momentarily crowded for room inside SUPER FAMILY which shifted in. Near the 700 Metres, CENTENNIAL SMILE got its head up when being checked away from the heels of SUPER IDEAL. At the same point, SAMMY’S FORTUNE shifted out when being steadied away from the heels of EAST RIDER. In the Straight, SUPER FAMILY hung in and proved difficult to ride. A veterinary inspection of SUPER FAMILY after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER FAMILY, SO PRETTY SO SMART and PURE ALPHA were sent for sampling. After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on COOL RUNNINGS at the request of Trainer J Size. The Veterinary Officer reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, COOL RUNNINGS will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
