HORSEPOWER (J431)：After passing the 400 Metres was held up for clear running before shifting back in inside the 300 Metres to obtain clear running. Sent for sampling post-race. ALPHA STRIKE (L019)：J Orman could offer no explanation for his mount’s performance today other than it wanted to hang in. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse’s trachea. The performance of ALPHA STRIKE, a last start winner, was considered disappointing. Before being allowed to race again, ALPHA STRIKE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. METRO POWER (K408)：No report. CELESTIAL HERO (K363)：On jumping got unbalanced when crowded for room between LUCKY CANDY and MICKLEY after both horses shifted ground. When questioned Z Purton explained that after his mount lost ground at the start CELESTIAL HERO was out paced in the early stages as it does not possess the necessary speed to stay in touch with the field over the 1000 Metre distance of today’s race, and endeavouring to ride his mount with any more vigour than he did CELESTIAL HERO would have failed to finish the race off. He added that he elected in the circumstances to ensure his mount was balanced up and given the opportunity to finish the race off. He said when his mount was making good ground inside the 200 Metres he was held up for clear running over the concluding stages and subsequently was unable to ride his mount out to the end of the race. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. Sent for sampling post-race. ETERNAL FORTUNE (K010)：No report. SMART OINK (L542)：Jumped awkwardly, shifted out and made heavy contact with the hindquarters of CONGHUA GALAXY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. CASA OF HONOR (K310)：From the 400 Metres was held up for clear running before shifting in near the 200 Metters to obtain a clear run. Sent for sampling post-race. MICKLEY (K082)：No report. CONGHUA GALAXY (L337)：Was heavily contacted on the hindquarters by SMART OINK which shifted out after jumping awkwardly. INVINCIBLE STEED (L312)：Shortly after the start shifted in and made contact with LUCKY CANDY. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. NOTTHESILLYONE (J383)：No report. JIN SHENG (L399)：No report. LUCKY CANDY (L041)：Shifted in at the start and made contact with CELESTIAL HERO and as a result got unbalanced and shifted back out, making contact with INVINCIBLE STEED. Near the 850 Metres was checked to avoid the heels of LAHORE which shifted out when being taken out slightly by ALPHA STRIKE (J Orman). J Orman was reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift out when not fully clear. However, in arriving at this decision the Stewards took into account the racing manners of LAHORE in this incident. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings. LAHORE (K043)：Near the 850 Metres got its head up when being steadied to avoid the heels of ALPHA STRIKE which shifted out when not fully clear.
