His last outing saw him race over a similar distance, settling nicely into mid-division. He made his move in the middle stages, maintaining a consistent gallop but ultimately finishing seventh, beaten three and a half lengths. The trial itself didn’t reveal any significant improvement. Facing an assignment where he'll carry an additional 17 pounds, coupled with a potentially tricky outside barrier draw, conditions aren’t ideal for a strong finish. However, his current group boasts favorable early pace which suggests he could track the leaders comfortably. A clean break will be crucial; if able to secure a good position and maintain momentum, a forward showing is certainly within reach.
