Following a pair of barrier trials – a muddy 1200m in 5-4-4, showing decent response, and a turf 1000m in 25/2, building speed nicely – this runner disappointed badly last start over the same distance. A slow break contributed to being held up at the rear, maintaining an even pace without any significant turn of foot, ultimately finishing well down the field. A short break has been followed by those two trials which indicate a slight improvement in condition. Receiving a 2lb weight relief this time around, and having proven form over this trip, the inside draw is a positive. The horse will likely be held up again, relying on a late surge. Jockey Harry Bentley takes the reins, bringing some understanding of the horse’s capabilities; however, the timing within the stable isn't ideal, and trainer-jockey synergy appears lacking – nonetheless, it warrants consideration.
