On March 21st, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 4-7-9), maintaining a firm hold throughout and showing good breeze. A recent winner, it performed well five weeks ago in a Happy Valley mile, jumping moderately but settling towards the rear with a steady pace before responding to pressure and winning. Following a subsequent barrier trial which indicated it may need time to improve, the horse is stepping up in class for a Sha Tin 1600m race. Receiving a six-pound weight relief and drawing a favorable barrier, it’s expected to track the pace. The trainer and jockey Harry Bentley have a reasonable understanding of the horse's capabilities and appear compatible; with a clean break, a forward position is achievable and a place finish seems likely.
