On March 14th, during a Happy Valley turf trial over 1700m, the horse ran fast and consistently, finishing first in each section (1-1-1-3). Four weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, it performed poorly despite leading early with a steady pace but lacking a strong finish. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time, receiving a two-pound weight reduction, the horse faces a challenging draw relative to its competition; trainer/jockey combination isn't ideal, however, securing a good barrier position allows for an attempt at leading. The jockey understands the horse’s temperament and aims for a quick start and forward run.
