On March 27th, completed a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 6-4-7), finishing strongly without being fully extended. Three weeks prior, ran disappointingly over Sha Tin’s 1600m, slow to jump and settling towards the rear before making up ground with fast final sections, finishing sixth beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed limited exertion. Now steps up to 2000m on the Sha Tin turf for his first attempt at this distance, receiving a one-pound weight relief and drawing an inside barrier. The tactics will be to settle back in the field, relying on a strong finishing kick which is considered the best among the competition; appears to have a competitive edge over other entrants and is not without a chance.
