On March 28th, a turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse lead comfortably and impressively. Six weeks ago, in a similar race, it ran moderately, settling well before accelerating in the middle stages but failing to maintain momentum until the finish. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time, with a one-pound weight reduction, having previously won twice over this distance, and facing comparable opposition, it has the potential to track the pace-setters. While lacking a strong finishing kick, a clean break should allow it to secure a forward position.
